6 month pictures

Last week we took Cooper to have his 6 month pictures taken (it's hard to believe he's already 6 months old!!!!). They were GREAT!! We had such a hard time deciding which ones we wanted. He is smiling ALL the time right now, if someone in the room is talking he thinks they're talking to him and gets the biggest grin on his face. So, needless to say getting him to smile was no problem. Here are some of our favorites.........

We have just enjoyed another "first" with Cooper...his first time to eat something that was not breastmilk. We have given you some pictures as well as video of this initial experience. Please enjoy as much as we enjoyed this moment. Our God is good!!!!

This year we celebrated Valentine's Day a couple of days early in the Hampton house. We celebrated early because Chad had a student ministry event all weekend while Britney and Cooper visited Gigi and Pops in Grand Prairie. Additionally, the early celebration was made easier because Cooper celebrated Valentine's Day at school on this same Thursday. All in all, even though we were apart, God blessed us with a wonderful Valentine's Day. Enjoy the pictures!

Christmas in Mississippi

Cooper was able to make his first visit ever to Chad's home state of Mississippi. We had a great week spending time with family and got to experience what it is like to not hold Cooper. It was wonderful for Cooper to meet all of his grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles for the first time. We had an incredible week and did not want to say goodbye. We have some pictures from our week long visit for your viewing pleasure.

Sorry it's taken so long to update!!!

Santa came to our house a week early since we were going to be traveling during Christmas. Cooper got some toys and even some diapers. He was very excited!!

Cooper celebrated his first halloween (or, for the uber-spiritual, Reformation Day) at his Gigi and Pops' House in Grand Prairie. Although Cooper wanted to go to the football game with his dad and Pops, his mom, Gigi, Aunt Cortney, and Gran kept him at home with them. They didn't even take him trick or treating. Here are some pictures of our little man!!!

Cooper now weighs in at 10 lbs. 10 oz. His pediatrician told us that everything looks good and that he is progressing properly. Cooper is starting to sleep more consistently at night, but we will see how that continues to go. He really likes to sleep in the bed with his mommy and daddy. He is eating well, as can be affirmed by his weight. We are already seeing more of our families than we have since we have been married. It seems that our parents are anxious to come to Austin for some reason now! Without further ado, here are some new pictures of our little man!

Cooper Brandon Hampton FINALLY decided to grace us with his presence. It was a marathon day and night yesterday, but PRAISE GOD that Britney and Cooper are both doing well! I will post more on our experience later, but for now, I know that your main concern is seeing some pictures of our little guy! Thanks for your prayers and here is Cooper!

September 25 is the day!

Britney had her weekly doctor's appointment this past Thursday and we received some news on when Cooper will join us. Britney will be induced on September 25, if Cooper has not decided to come out before then. This will be a week earlier than his original due date and only five days after Britney's birthday! Please continue to pray for Britney as she is becoming increasingly uncomfortable and is getting a bit tired of being stuck at home most of the time. Pray for us as we prepare for Cooper to get here and enjoy the next few days as just Britney and Chad. Finally, pray for the health of Britney and Cooper. Please keep Britney's blood pressure specifically in your prayers as that has been a concern for a couple of weeks now! We will post more soon. We love ya'll!

Why we started a blog

I know the question that is one every one of your minds, "Why did Chad and Britney start a blog?" The obvious answer is that we have friends and family scattered about and figured this would be the best way to keep everyone updated about what is happening in our life. And no, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with Cooper coming into the world in a matter of weeks...or days! (It is important to keep in mind that Chad writes this blog and we all know his spiritual gift of sarcasm will probably be utilized throughout our writings=)!) In all seriousness, we do hope each of you will utilize this blog to find out information as we post to it. The plan is to keep it updated so that anyone can keep up with what is happening here in Austin! Last but not least, we have attached Cooper's latest sonogram pictures. He's a good looking kid, must take after his dad!!! We go back to the doctor on Thursday so we will update you all then. We love ya'll!!
